This book was written by a pair of long-time St Paul Ski Club members, Tom Harrington and
Wally Wakefield. It covers the first 100 years of SPSC history, 1885-1985. We think you'll
find it interesting, informative, and entertaining.

Ski jumping began in the US in the mid 1880s, and the St Paul Ski Club is the oldest
continuously-operating ski jumping club in America. They scheduled tournaments in 1885
and 1886, but Mother Nature refused to cooperate. They finally held the first US
tournament in 1887.
